MyElena
Care, with a little coordination

A little help.
A lot of love.

When someone you love is facing cancer, everyday life keeps going. MyElena helps you organize practical support from the people who care, so they can help in ways that work for them.

Our story

Created for Elena.
And the people
who show up.

When my beloved wife Elena was diagnosed with cancer, we quickly realized that cancer is a full-time job. The appointments, the chemotherapy, the countless decisions. But our family couldn’t run on autopilot. The kids still needed to get to school and the dentist. The backyard still needed cleaning. Life kept asking things of us.

Our wonderful friends, family, neighbours, and community all offered to help. We were grateful. But coordinating that help was another job, and the people offering it had families and commitments of their own.

I wanted to give them a convenient way to help on their own time and on their own terms. A way to see what we needed and choose where they could lend a hand.

That’s why we created MyElena.

How it works

Turn “How can I help?”
into a helping hand.

Bring your people together, share what needs doing, and let everyone choose how they can help.

  1. Create a support group

Start a group for your family’s circle of support.

  2. Invite your people

Share an invitation link or QR code with friends, family, neighbours, and others in your community.

  3. Make room for different kinds of help

Create volunteering groups for things like cooking, driving, yard work, or helping the kids with homework.

  4. Let everyone find their place

Members subscribe to the volunteering groups they want to be part of, choosing the kinds of support that suit them.

  5. Share a task

Add something that needs doing, such as “Drive Elena to chemotherapy,” so your group knows how to help.

  6. Accept a task, or be the backup

Friends can accept the task. If more than one person can help, they join a queue. If someone cancels, the next person in line can pick it up.
